Prince Edward Islanders are being told that traveling could be difficult on Thursday night.

Environment Canada has issued snowfall warnings for all three countries.

CBC meteorologist Tina Simpkin said, “It’s coming at night. The timing is great when the heaviest snow is going to fall.”

Snowfall will start around 7 pm, with up to 20 cm expected to fall. There may be some areas where snow drift is an issue.

Initial forecasts called for snow to continue until Friday, but this has been revised. The current forecast is for a morning ending shower and a mix of sun and cloud in the afternoon. The wind will continue to blow throughout the day.
