According to media reports, Sonia Gandhi fell ill suddenly on Thursday afternoon. He had fever and shortness of breath, along with unbearable pain in his stomach. After that he was admitted to Sir Gangaram Hospital in Delhi around 7 pm.

For the past few years, Sonia Gandhi has been falling ill several times. He had to be admitted to Sir Gangaram Hospital for the second time this year. He had to be admitted to the hospital with viral fever last January. There were other physical complications—including respiratory infections. Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi returned to Delhi midway through their India Jodo Yatra. During the first phase of the budget session, on the day Rahul Gandhi was scheduled to address the Lok Sabha, Sonia fell ill in Parliament. Rahul Gandhi left him at home.

Incidentally, this Gangaram hospital is where Gandhi family members are usually treated. Sonia has been admitted there before. He underwent shoulder surgery there in 2017. Congress has not yet made any statement regarding Sonia’s illness. But according to party sources, Sonia has been ill for the past few days.
