saint kitts and nevis: The Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis shared highlights of the Diaspora meeting and interacted with fellow citizens in New York on Monday, May 15, 2023. He expressed his happiness to join and support the citizens.
PM Terence Drew shared highlights of the Diaspora meeting on Facebook. He outlined ways to strengthen ties with fellow Kittians and Nevisis abroad. He said that the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis will do everything possible to help them pave the way for development.

He expressed his happiness to have interactive engagement with the people and said, “Yesterday, I had the special privilege of engaging with fellow citizens in New York at a meeting of the diaspora. This is a deliberate undertaking that I have decided to implement in order to maintain strong ties with fellow Kittians and Nevisis abroad.
Emphasizing on the developmental plans, PM Drew said, “It is imperative that our people are kept abreast of the development of their motherland.” He also appreciated the many expatriate organizations which are making a lot of efforts to strengthen them and enhance their skills in various fields.
He said that they should appreciate the many expatriate organizations that continue to support our nation and maintain strong ties with their motherland. These people are talented with rich diverse skills.
“I am aware of many of our citizens within the Diaspora who have special interests and skills that we can draw upon for the further development of our beloved Union. I encourage you to register your interest in contributing. But I trust that you and your compatriots will join me in building our land at home and abroad,” the Prime Minister said.
“The turnout was overwhelming, and I’d say the meeting was a great success. I look forward to future engagements,” he said. The meeting was also attended by Glenroy Blanchett, Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office.
