  1. Know the weightage of each chapter : Chapters like Electrostatics, Magnostatics and Optics carry the highest weightage. In such situation students should practice these chapters first. They have to master these chapters and then prepare for further topics.
  2. Subject wise strategy : Usually subjects like Electrostatics, Magnostatics and SC Circuits are numerical. If you have a good grip on numbers, you can start your preparation from these chapters. On the other hand, chapters of modern physics such as dual nature, atoms, nuclei and semiconductors are based on the theory of physics. So those who are weak in maths can study these subjects.
  3. Effective way to learn Derivation: Derivation in Physics is not understood by students. Instead students can first understand the topic and then practice the derivatives by writing in the copy. This will help them to revise quickly at exam time.
  4. Tips for Diagrams : Students need to practice some diagrams before appearing for the board exam. For example, in chapters like Optics, Microscope, study the ray diagram for the final image formed by the telescope. Also see some diagrams in magnetostatics, such as moving coil galvanometer, ac generator.
