Chandigarh: President of Shiromani Akali Dal (United) and former Union Minister S. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa has condemned the Aam Aadmi Party government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for not paying the outstanding amount of Rs.

S. Dhindsa said that the farmers have been struggling for a long time for the payment of the outstanding amount and due to non-payment, the farmers have been forced to go on hunger strike. He said that the farmers have been continuously demanding the previous Congress government and the Aam Aadmi Party government, which has been in power for six months, to release the dues but so far the dues have not been released to the farmers. He said that before the Aam Aadmi Party came to power, the farmers were assured that after the formation of the government, the first thing would be the return of the farmers’ crop balance, but the AAP government also did not fulfill its promise like the previous Congress government. . Due to which the farmers have to sit on hunger strike by climbing the chimney to pay the outstanding amount.

He said that the farmers owe 8 crores to the sugar mill for the sugarcane crop. On the pretext of paying this amount, the government is trying to mislead the farmers by talking about selling the mill. S. Dhindsa said that following the demand of the Sugarcane Struggle Committee, the due amount should be released to the farmers immediately
