Tamil Nadu’s electricity demand averages 15,000 MW per day, while the daily electricity demand in March, April and May is 16,000 to 17,000 MW. On April 29, the current year’s summer, the electricity demand was recorded at 17563 MW, which is also the peak level.

Meanwhile, in many districts including Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, due to the widespread rains in August, the demand for electricity decreased and it was at the usual level of 15,000 megawatts per day.

Due to this, the use of AC in the homes has increased, increasing the demand for electricity. Due to this, the electricity demand of Tamil Nadu was recorded as 16577 megawatt yesterday and 15500 megawatt yesterday.
