Mumbai: The Tata Nexon and Tata Nexon EV Facelift were much awaited. It has been seen many times during testing on the road. Now it is going to be launched soon. Its launching date has been announced by Tata Motors. The new Tata Nexon facelift and the new Tata Nexon EV facelift will be launched on 14 September.
What will be new?
At present, no information has been given by Tata Motors about the features and specifications of the Nexon facelift. However, we have already seen its test mule several times, from which we have come to know a lot about the SUV. The subcompact SUV is expected to get several major updates on the inside, including a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster. Its dashboard has been redesigned. To make it more modern, it gets slimmer AC vents, new two-spoke steering wheel and touch-based HVAC control panel. The 2023 Tata Nexon facelift will see several noticeable cosmetic changes that differentiate it from the current model.
Design
Several design updates have been inspired by the updated Curve concept. The front fascia will come with a slimmer front grille, redesigned headlamps, LED DRLs and C-shaped housing for the fog lamps. The side profile is expected to remain similar to the existing version, except for the newly designed dual-tone alloy wheels. The rear section will have a flat design than before.
engine
The facelifted Nexon will retain the existing 1.2L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel engines. One of the major mechanical upgrades will be the inclusion of a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The transmission line up will also include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT unit.
