News Daily Digital Desk: Sexual assault in the headlines again in Uttar Pradesh. At least 18 people have been accused of sexual harassment against a government school teacher. The accused has already been arrested.
There was a lot of uproar as soon as the allegations against Mohammad Ali, a computer teacher of a government school in Shahjahanpur district of Yogira state came to light. The police further claimed that the teacher was supported by the principal and assistant teacher of the school. A case has been registered against the accused under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code, including the POCSO Act. According to police sources, action will be taken against the principal and assistant teacher. Senior SP of Shahjahanpur S.S. Anand said, “A complaint of sexual harassment has been filed at Tilhar police station. The accused has been arrested. Statements of 18 minor victims will be taken.” The matter has also been reported to the Child Protection Committee.
Tilhar circle officer Priyank Jain said that secondary school teacher Mohammad Ali used to sexually harass minors in the name of teaching computers. Even Principal Anil Pathak and another teacher Shazia supported him in this work. A student bravely told her parents the whole incident. Then they went to the school and searched around and found many condoms from the toilet. A related video was also circulated on social media. After that, the head of the village filed a complaint against the accused in the police station. Then the police took action. The whole matter is being investigated.
