Udaipur On Monday, on the occasion of Jal Jhulni Ekadashi, Rewaris of Thakurji were taken out with pomp and show from temples across the city.

Which reached Gangaur Ghat and Gangu Kund through various routes, where the servants carried Thakurji and bathed him in new water while swinging him in their hands. Various Akharas performed in the procession. During this, the devotees made the atmosphere devotional by chanting elephant-horse palanquin Jai Kanhaiya Lal, Jai Chhogala Chail ki.

Ramrewadis started at 4 pm. It started with Ram Rewari originating from Radhakrishna Temple of Kalal Samaj. It reached Gangaur Ghat via Jagdish Chowk. Where after bathing the Lord with new water, Aarti was performed with musical instruments. After this, a procession of about 70 Ram Rewaris including Paliwal, Kumawat Kshatriya Samaj, Ganchi Samaj, Phoolmali Samaj, Khatik Samaj, Vipra Samaj, Mitharam Mandir Raoji Ka Hata took out. Devotees were seen eager to pamper Birajit Thakurji in the silver palanquin. Someone was placing Prasad at the feet of God while someone presented fruits and flowers.

The women kept moving forward dancing to the tune of the band. After Ram Rewaris reached Jagdish Mandir Chowk, women also performed devotional garba. The last Rewari bath took place around 8 pm. After bathing, Thakurji again reached the temples with musical instruments.

6 Akharas demonstrated their strength in the procession of Ram Rewaris. Which included Khatik Samaj, Sen Samaj, Mitharam Mandir Raoji Ka Hata, Asthal Mandir, Vasita Samaj. People ranging from 10 years old children to 70 years old people performed with full enthusiasm with swords, daggers, mudgars, sticks etc.
