The ECP has written to the Prime Minister asking for space for the project management unit

Islam Abad: In a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Election Commission sought space for a project management unit.

Chief Election Commissioner Alexander Sultan Raja wrote a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan. In a letter to the Prime Minister, the Chief Election Commissioner asked for space and building to set up a project management unit. The Chief Election Commissioner also proposed 4 different buildings.

The letter said that the Election Commission is taking steps to use technology in the election process. IT teams will work for EVMs, i-voting and use of technology in the election process.

According to the letter, recruitment of IT professionals for setting up the unit is in final stages.

The Chief Election Commissioner also sent proposals for 4 different buildings in the letter. Proposed buildings include guest room of Pakistan Academy of Sciences, guest house of PCSI, vacant floor of Ministry of Science and Technology and building of Syed Memorial Society.
