Chandigarh: There is good news for women in Punjab. The Punjab Government is soon going to fulfill its promise of Rs.1000 a month to women. During the budget, the government said that soon women would be given one thousand rupees a month. The government has taken Rs 8,000 and repaid a loan of Rs 10,500.

It may be recalled that a recent statement by Assembly Speaker Kultar Sandhwan came to the fore in which he said, “The government’s coffers are empty. First the treasury will be filled and then the women will get Rs.1000 thousand per month. Previous governments have emptied Punjab’s coffers.

It may be recalled that the Aam Aadmi Party had given a guarantee of Rs.1000 per month to women before the formation of AAP government in Punjab before the Assembly elections. The guarantee was announced for women above 18 years of age.

Opponents of the AAP’s budget have lashed out that nothing special was seen in the budget. There is nothing for women in the budget. There is no mention of giving Rs 1,000 per month to women. The government has forgotten Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha. The government also forgot the election promises.
