The police have arrested a husband who uploaded his wife’s intimate photos on social media pages in anger over not paying the demanded dowry.

33-year-old Sebi hails from Erumapetti in Thrissur district of Kerala. He got married to a woman from Palakkad two and a half years ago. At the time of marriage, the bride gives 80 grams of gold jewelry as dowry.

In this case, within a few months of the marriage, the husband has been forcing his wife to dowry continuously saying that the dowry is not enough. Female households are economically weaker households. Hence, they could not give additional dowry. The woman has endured the cruelty of her husband for about 2.5 years.

To keep things like this, husband Sebi is involved in a perverse act. He has uploaded private photos of his wife on social media and other porn apps. Hearing this, the shocked wife told her birth family and cried.

Subsequently, the woman along with her parents lodged a complaint at the nearby Kummankulam police station, a case was registered against her husband Sebi and the police arrested him. Sebi’s cell phone has been seized and the police are conducting intensive investigation after searching it. It has assured the victim that they will complete the case quickly and get appropriate punishment.
