After that they went near Parangimalai railway station, when an electric train from Chennai coast passed through Parangimalai railway station at 8.15 pm, Ilango and Simran together jumped in front of the train. The young girl Simran died on the spot with her head severed. The boyfriend Ilango was lying in a pool of blood with severe injuries.
The Mambalam railway police who came to the information, rescued the seriously injured Ilango and sent him to the Rayapet Government Hospital. While being admitted to the intensive care unit and undergoing treatment, Ilango died last night without any results.
