City42: The Election Commission has announced all the results of the Punjab Assembly. The largest party in the parliament is the Muslim League-Nun, which won 137 seats, while 10 members of the Pakistan People’s Party were elected and 8 members of the Pakistan Muslim League-Qaf reached the provincial assembly. Pakistan Muslim League Zia-ul-Haq has one seat and Tehreek-e-Labeek has one seat.
For the first time in the history of Punjab, independent members won in huge numbers. Independent candidates won 138 seats in Punjab. Some of them belong to PTI and some are truly independent. Among them are members who left the PTI after the attacks on state institutions on May 9. They later ran as independents in the elections.
After the announcement of the results of all parliamentary seats, the elections of male and female deputies in the provincial assembly will be held according to the principle of proportional representation. Reserved seats are reserved for political parties only.
