Irshadgul News report,
John Plunkett. Updated August 2, 2023
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a totally on-point response to a business offering to pay with ‘exposure’, but this might be one of the best yet.
It’s Three Little Birds Bakery in Yorkshire that was prompted to post this PR firm’s request on Facebook on behalf of their celebrity client, and it’s quite the read.
It went wildly viral after being shared by people who follow it forever @simonharris_mbd on Twitter.
‘Unfortunately since my mortgage provider doesn’t take payment “in the form of promotion on their social networks”, and my employees can’t afford to feed their kids with exposure on Instagram, I have to decline your very generous offer. These are my thoughts.

And because it’s hard to read in full, here’s the request…
And the bakery here is fabulous – fabulous! – answer.
oven roasted.
And it’s almost the only thing anyone was talking about – well, we exaggerate just a little bit.
Nice that Three Little Birds Bakery is currently getting more publicity and good PR from politely asking these cocks to fuck themselves than they would have ever gotten from the show. https://t.co/biOqhODPqU

What a wonderful response from Three Little Birds Bakery Keighley to this request for freebies in exchange for ‘exposure’.
I’m sure the ‘famous celeb’ can pay the bills herself?! #supports small business pic.twitter.com/sjjZVOATs7— Bex o⃞b⃞v⃞i⃞o⃞u⃞s⃞l⃞y⃞ 🐀 #TryingToBeAlright (@ObviciousBex) 2 August 2023

It was later revealed that she was celebrity Catherine Tildesley, who – google, google – was a Coronation Street star who also appeared on Strictly Come Dancing.
At the risk of too much detail — apologies in advance — but in the interest of balance and all that, here’s what she had to say about it on Instagram afterward.
Crumbs!
And if you want to place an order or visit them…
