Two minors drown in sea at Worli IG News

MUMBAI: Out of five children who went swimming in Worli Koliwada, two minors have died due to drowning. The remaining three are undergoing treatment in a private hospital.

According to Disaster Control, this incident took place on Friday around 3.30 pm. Worli used to play in the sea in the fishermen colony near the Hanuman temple in Koliwada. While playing, these five children went deep into the sea. All the children are said to be around ten to twelve years of age.
The children started drowning in the sea water around 3.40 pm while playing in the sea. On noticing the locals, they immediately ran into the sea to save them. After pulling him out of the sea, he was immediately admitted to a private hospital in Dadar.
However, all five were taken to the hospital, while the two children were declared brought dead before treatment. The dead include Karthik Chaudhary (eight) and Savita Pal (12).
