Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the authorities to intensify the corona vaccination program for children aged 12-14 in Uttar Pradesh.
The Chief Minister, who reviewed the situation in Corona in the state, said it was the priority of the government to vaccinate all eligible minors and asked the authorities to ensure the availability of vaccines.
Many children aged 12-14 have not yet been vaccinated. We need to intensify the process of vaccinating them. The state needs to ensure that vaccines are available in adequate quantities and in stock for future needs.
Carry out awareness campaigns on the importance of booster dose and encourage every person over the age of 18 to take precautionary measures.
Uttar Pradesh has so far distributed 32,10,86,485 vaccines. Of these, 17,30,37,190 have been vaccinated in the first installment and 14,50,83,297 have been fully vaccinated.
So far, more than 96 percent of children in the 15-17 age group in the state have received the first installment of the vaccine. At the same time more than 70 percent of people in this age group are fully vaccinated.
Leading health workers have been offering booster doses to senior citizens since January 10. The state has so far given 30 lakh precautionary doses. More than 90.53 per cent have been fully vaccinated and 100 per cent have been vaccinated for the first time.
Currently, the number of people in treatment in the state is 1024. It has been steadily declining for the past few days. The Chief Minister has mandated the use of face masks in public places in high-risk districts.
