Launch of District Development Works from 15th Finance Commission Grant by Zilla Panchayat at Rajkot

11 state-of-the-art science labs have been constructed in all the talukas of the district from the 15th Finance Commission grant by the District Panchayat at Rajkot today. State Cabinet Minister Raghavji Patel and Bhanuben Babria inaugurated it. Apart from this, the DDO of the district also attended the programme.
Developing a science themed “STEM Lab”.
Under the National Science and Technology Policy, STEM labs have been developed in 11 schools of Rajkot district. The cost of preparing all these labs is around 44 lakh rupees. Science themed painting and different games and charts in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics have been developed under this lab. Approximately 92 items are included in each stem lab.
Launched for different works
Apart from this, RO filter plants have been launched in 41 villages of Rajkot district. A RO filter plant has been developed at a cost of around 70 lakhs. Besides, CCTV work was also launched in 12 villages of Rajkot district at a cost of around 40 lakhs. A grant has been allocated for painting in about 50 Anganwadis of Rajkot district.
