Lord Vishwakarma Jayanti, the creator of the world, was celebrated with great pomp in Buxwaha of Chhatarpur district. Apart from shops, workshops etc., machines were also worshiped in homes.
Apart from this, Shri Vishwakarma Jayanti has been organized with great pomp by Vishwakarma Samaj with Havan Puja at the newly constructed Vishwakarma place located in Ward No. 1 in front of District Panchayat.
Pandit Braj Kishore Dubey said that Lord Vishwakarma is considered the creator of heaven to Dwarka. Also it is said that worshiping Lord Vishwakarma leads to progress in business. He said that by worshiping Lord Vishwakarma on this day, wishes are fulfilled.
On Vishwakarma Jayanti, a huge procession has been organized in the afternoon after the worship of Lord Vishwakarma.
The procession started from the newly built Vishwakarma place and from there it reached Vishwakarma place via Patkar Mohalla, Wednesday Bazaar, where the procession was concluded as per the customs. After that Prasad distribution and Bhandara was organised.
All the members of Vishwakarma Samaj as well as people from all sections of the city including businessmen, shopkeepers and artisans who use tools participated in the program.
