Apcor responded Monday evening to a transmission main break in downtown that has caused some local flooding.
after 8 pm, utility provider said on social media That “water trouble crew” was responding to a water main break at 103rd Street and 99th Avenue in the Bellamy Hill neighborhood.
Apcor said it had shut off the water supply after an hour and a half and was asking motorists, cyclists and pedestrians to avoid the area.
“It’s too early to say what caused the break or what repairs will be needed,” Epcor said.
No further details were available.
Videos posted on social media showed water gushing up to Rossdale Road and 97th Avenue.
