According to WABetaInfo, the company has renamed the announcement group to “Home” on the WhatsApp beta for Android, and “Updates” on the WhatsApp beta for iOS.
The Community feature on WhatsApp allows users to create and join groups of people who share similar interests or hobbies.
The report states that the decision to change the name may have been taken because announcement groups are typically read-only conversations that only community administrators have access to, and do not fit the traditional definition of a group. Could
