Who is facilitating drug dealers in the Punjab Police? Disclosure in geotagging reports

Lahore (Pakistan Daily Online) Names of Punjab police officers and government officials have been geo-tagged in connection with drug trafficking.

In the geotagging report Thirty Lahore police officers were found to be facilitators of drug dealers or were directly involved in drug sales. Records of 234 officials and personnel in 10 districts including Lahore were collected. Geo-tagging of 234 officials and personnel was done to facilitate drug peddlers. According to the geotagging report 35 cases have been registered against police officers and personnel of Lahore city. The officers involved as deputy inspectors, ASIs, constables and drivers are stationed at various police stations. Only two officers involved in facilitating drug dealers were jailed. Police officials said the report also included details about the police’s drug ring. Details of dangerous drugs such as marijuana, heroin, ice, crystal powder are also part of the geotagging report. Action will be taken against elements involved in facilitating drug dealers in the police.
