A 13-year-old girl can get married- In 1979, the minimum marriageable age for women was lowered from 18 years to 13 years. In 1982, this age was reduced to 9 years. That is, even a 9-year-old girl can be married in Iran. But in 2002, this age was again raised to 13 years. The marriageable age of a man is fixed at 15 years.
