WWE Superstar Rick Buggs returned to Raw on Monday night and he looked absolutely incredible.
The 35-year-old wrestler has not been seen on TV since suffering a serious injury during his and Shinsuke Nakamura’s SmackDown Tag Team Title match at WrestleMania 38 on April 2, 2022.
He made a surprise return on last night’s show as Adam Pearce introduced him and set up a match against The Miz.
The A-lister wasn’t ready to compete, let alone against an entirely fan favorite.
Boogs looked the part and delivered after a warm reception from the live crowd, making quick work of his opponent as he followed up with a gorilla press to pick up the win with a body slam.
It was an impressive win that did everything it needed to do, and fans online were happy to see him back, while everyone was talking about his physique.
‘I don’t remember Rick Buggs looking this jack,’ one viewer wrote as another: ‘Rick Buggs looks huge. Man is killing that iron.
A third fan tweeted: ‘Looks like Boogs spent most of his time working his hands while his leg was being rehabbed. Dude has stopped.
‘Rick Buggs gets more jacked and I didn’t think it was possible,’ said a fourth fan, while a fifth person echoed his sentiment and wrote: ‘Damn… I think Rick Buggs even more than before Jack was injury…. (sic)’
Boogs was still playing air guitar and drums during the brief match, but it remains to be seen how much of his rock god character is kept now that he has split from Shinsuke Nakamura and will no longer play in the ring.
There are hints of a feud with acoustic troublemakers Alias, though, which could be a fun way to take down heavyweights in singles action.
WWE Raw airs Monday nights at 1PM on BT Sport 1.
