A video of the BJP targeting Muslims in the country has been removed from Instagram.

In a nearly one-and-a-half minute long video released on the official BJP Instagram on April 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated his claim that if the Congress comes to power, Parliament will redistribute Hindu property to Muslims. It is currently unclear whether the video was removed by the party itself or by Instagram.

New Delhi: The animation was shared by the Bharatiya Janata Party’s official Instagram handle on Tuesday (April 30). Videowhich directly targeted Muslims to get votes from the BJP, was removed on Wednesday (May 1).

The Wire had previously reported that the video reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s claim that if the Congress comes to power, The council would redistribute the property and wealth of the Hindus to the Muslims. It also states that Muslims are Opposition parties’ ‘favored community’ It makes the same misleading and circular claims often made by right-wingers to make Muslims look inferior.

However, it is currently unclear whether the video was removed by the party itself or by Instagram, as many Instagram users said after it emerged that they had viewed the video that it had been reported. ‘Misinformation’ and ‘hate speech’

Users who did so received a notice from Instagram saying “Thank you for informing us about the BJP4India post.” It looks like it may have been removed –
