Chicken supply stopped, shops closed

All Balochistan Poultry Associations have stopped the supply of broilers from Punjab to Quetta. According to details, Poultry Association President Niaz Muhammad said that the supply of broilers has been stopped due to action against poultry traders. Due to lack of supply of chicken from Punjab, chicken shops closed in Quetta. There are no poultry farms in Quetta. Supply from Punjab comes at a huge cost. The administration forced poultry traders to sell chicken meat at official rates as per the administration’s orders. Chicken is expensive and cannot be procured cheaply.
