Abhijit Gangopadhyay (born 20 August 1962) is an Indian politician and a former judge of the Calcutta High Court.[2][3][4] He won the 2024 Indian general election from the Tamluk Lok Sabha constituency.
Abhijit Gangopadhyay started his career as an “A”-grade officer in the West Bengal Civil Service. But he resigned due to corruption in the government.[13] He then worked as a lawyer for ten years. He also handled legal matters of the West Bengal School Service Commission and fought important cases such as the National Insurance. On 2 May 2018, he was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Calcutta High Court.[14] He became a permanent judge of the High Court on 30 July 2020.

Sultan Baban, or Ghiyasuddin Balban, died 1287, was the Sultan of Delhi from 1266 to 1287.
Sultan Baban was the son of an Ilbari nobleman, but was taken as a slave by the Muslims at an early age. He restored the greatness of the sultanate after a period of stagnation that had lasted since the death of Iltutmish in 1236.
