NAB’s referral to former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has ended.

ISLAMABAD: NAB revokes reference to former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Justice Nasir Javed Rana of Islamabad Court. Hearing the LNG reference against former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) referred all accused, including Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, to be withdrawn from Key Job. The court accepted NAB’s request to withdraw the reference. On this occasion, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi appeared in court with his lawyer.
It should be noted that NAB’s referral is pending in the Accountability Court against Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and other accused. According to sources, former MDPSO Imranul Haq has applied to NAB that this reference should not be made. Following Imran-ul-Haq’s request, NAB officials decided to revoke the merit reference.
