Proceedings regarding Tosha Khana’s vehicle-related citations against the President have been suspended.

Prosecution against President Asif Zardari over citations related to Tosha Khana’s vehicle has been dropped.

According to details, lawyer Farooq H. Naik appeared on behalf of President Asif Ali Zardari in the Accountability Court in Islamabad.

Lawyers filed a motion to stop the proceedings against Asif Zardari, with Farooq H. Naik taking the position that Asif Zardari is legally free to hold the office of president.

Farooq H. Naik is adamant that the case cannot proceed as long as Asif Zardari is president.

Khawaja Manzoor appeared as prosecutor on behalf of NAB. The accountability court accepted the request to stop the reference hearing.

The Accountability Court said the referral could not be made as long as the president was in office.
