So far 11,000 252 non-filer SIMs have been blocked.

As per the recommendations of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), mobile companies continue to block mobile SIM cards of non-filers.

According to an FBR spokesperson, mobile SIMs are banned under the Income Tax General Order.

An FBR spokesperson said 11,252 SIMs were blocked till May 22.

An FBR spokesperson also stated that FBR is committed to promoting tax compliance and tax culture.

According to the Federal Revenue Commission, Non-filers should file their income tax returns immediately to avoid SIM deactivation.

According to AFBR, action is being taken against those who have not filed income tax returns for 2023 under the Income Tax Act.
