The ancient city of pearls has been discovered on Al-Sunnah Island in Dubai.

Archaeologists have discovered an ancient settlement on Al-Ziniya Island. which is a tourist attraction that is far from Dubai United Arab Emirates, approximately 42 miles northeast.

According to Arab media reports These ancient settlements provide an insight into the early history of the region.

The report, citing the Emirates Ministry of Tourism and Archeology, said the settlement was discovered during excavations last March. After that, it was discovered that there was an ancient pearl city there.

Archaeologists believe the site probably dates back to the 4th century, or at least 1600 years.

A number of large jars imported from Mesopotamia were also discovered in the area, two of which had Aramaic inscriptions dating from the first to the fourth centuries, he said.

He added that these ruins may belong to the lost city of Tuam, as the results of the investigation match information about the historical city.
