Rifaat Atfé or Rifat Atfe (in Arabic: رفعت عطفة, Rif’at ‘Aṭfa; Masyaf, 1947 – January 23, 2023)1 was a Syrian translator, Hispanist and poet, best known for translating Don Quixote into Arabic. Among his translations are works by great writers on the Hispanic scene such as Nobel Prize winner Pablo Neruda, Federico García Lorca or Ramón Valle-Inclán.2
