However, one thing the movie viewers didn’t know was that it was supposed to feature Shah Rukh. Khan is the hero But for some reason he could not join the project and Aamir Khan played the lead role.
In a recent interview about this Film director John Matthew Mithun revealed that his first choice for Sarfrosh was Shah Rukh Khan.
I said I would not give this role to Shah Rukh. The reason was that he was not even in my heart. But my friends insisted that this way we would save money but I didn’t want that. After that I finally cast Aamir Khan and the film became a hit.
