Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal said Pakistan is ready to send a cricket team to India.

Ahsan Iqbal told Geo News that sports should be separated from politics. There have been tensions between Pakistan and India in the past. But it does not affect sports. India should send a team to Pakistan to compete for the Champions Trophy.

He said government alone cannot provide resources for sports. Various agencies will be gathered together

Ahsan Iqbal said it is unfortunate that sports are neglected in Pakistan. The biggest mistake was dissolving the athletic department.

Ahsan Iqbal said there are strong efforts to organize Safe Games in Pakistan in 2025, with plans for a Pakistan Super League style hockey league.
